WELCOME TO CLEVELAND POOLS
Update - 28 August 2018
“The question we are asked most often is, ‘when will it open?’” says chair of the Cleveland Pools trustees Paul Simons. “It’s very heartening that people are so enthusiastic, and just want to know when they can have a swim, but we do still have a few hurdles before we can talk about an opening date.”
“However, we have had some very positive encouragement from the Heritage Lottery Fund, which has given us real confidence for the stage two funding application we submitted at the start of August. We’ll know if the bid is approved in December 2018.”

Summer 2021: Potential opening date for Cleveland Pools
The Cleveland Pools is the country’s only surviving Georgian lido, hidden away in Bath, on the banks of the River Avon. Once a welcome respite from the heat of the city in the summer, Cleveland Pools was a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike until it closed in 1984. The Cleveland Pools Trust (CPT) is determined to bring these wonderful baths back to life again. If restored, Bath would be home to the world’s first naturally treated, heated, outdoor swimming pool.
